I’m a South African Photographer / Artist. What started as a hobby grew into a passion of mine. I use my photographs together with my artistic side to create artistic work. A category I enjoy and specialize in is macro photography.Over the past few years I’ve devoted countless hours searching for and photographing insects.I learned to understand the characteristics and behavior of my little subjects and I also learned a macro photography technique called photo stacking to increase the depth-of-field and sharpness of my images. What makes this technique so difficult is that if you have just one shot in your shot sequence that is wrong, it throws off the whole photograph. So it takes lots of hours behind the camera practicing to perfect this method. I prefer taking photographs of live insects in their natural habitat using natural light. I love sharing my work and experience with friends, family, and fellow photographers.
My favorite quote is -“The question is not what you look at, but what you see.”
