Lee-David de Haas
Lee-David de Haas , took a keen interest in documenting life on Johannesburgs streets shortly after attending the late David Goldblatts school who is one of South Africas God Fathers in documentary photography. Lee-David picked up his craft late in life after finding himself stuck between careers and with a curious eye ventured into the world of photography. Lee-David has been documenting life in the streets for the past 4 years in and around Johannesburg’s suburbs telling stories of strangers in their every day routine. Lee-David picked up an award early on in his career by taking first place in Apple’s Iphonography contest for 2015 in the Absolute Africa category and with the love for film photography he went on to take first place in an international film photography contest with Kodak in the category For The Love in 2017.
